Ghanaian music is making waves globally as Spotify recently unveiled the first Global Impact List for Ghana. The list highlights the top 30 tracks from Ghana that have had the biggest global impact on Spotify in the first half of 2024.
One artist who stood out on the list was King Promise, with several of his tracks dominating the rankings. His hit single “Paris” emerged as Ghana’s number one international favourite, capturing listeners with its infectious melody and heartfelt lyrics. Collaborations with Olivetheboy and Sarkodie, as well as Haile and Smallgod, further solidified his status as a global music icon.
New talents also made their mark on the list, with Olivetheboy’s “Asylum” and Lasmid’s “Puul” showcasing fresh voices that are gaining recognition on the global stage.
