Tom Holland has announced that he is taking a break from social media because he finds the apps ‘overwhelming.’
On July 2, the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor, who has 67.7 million Instagram followers, shared his most recent post.
On Saturday night, he made a brief appearance to explain that he has decided to delete the apps to protect his mental health.
‘I have taken a break from social media for my mental health because I find Instagram and Twitter to be overwhelming. I get caught up and spiral when I read things about myself online, and ultimately, it’s very detrimental to my mental state, so I decided to take a step back and delete the app,’ the 26-year-old explained in a new video captioned ‘hello and goodbye.’
‘So thank you for listening, but something else that’s also very important is that these charities need help,’ he added. The Brothers Trust is a fund-raising vehicle that helps raise funds so that these charities can continue to do such wonderful work. So, if you want to help us help them and, in turn, help others, go to our website and purchase a T-shirt; 100% of the proceeds benefit all of the charities that we support.
