Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the decisive Test between England and South Africa at the Kia Oval will continue as scheduled on Saturday.

Following her passing on Friday at the age of 96, day two of the third Test was canceled out of respect.

On Saturday, the England women’s Twenty20 match versus India will also go on.

All forms of cricket, including domestic and recreational matches, will restart, according to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

As of right now, the Test is expected to proceed according to plan, which means Saturday will continue to be the third day after day one of play was canceled due to rain.

The possibility of moving the match to Tuesday—the day the tourists are due to fly home—is still being discussed with Cricket South Africa.

Each game will begin with a moment of silence before the national anthem. To honor the Queen, all players and coaches will don black armbands.

King or queen Elizabeth II, who ruled the UK for 70 years, passed away on Thursday.

This weekend’s professional Scottish football games as well as all English, Welsh, and Northern Irish games have been postponed.

National mourning guidelines issued by the government suggested that individual sports should decide whether or not to call off contests.
