Trinidad and Tobago cricketer Sonny Ramadhin has passed away. His death was announced on Sunday, Feberuary 27, 2022. He died at the age of 92.
Ramadhin was a former West Indian cricketer, and was a dominant bowler of the 1950s.
He was the first of many West Indian cricketers of Indian origin, and was one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1951.
Ramadhi played 43 Tests for his country, and took 158 wickets.
He was famous for being part of the first West Indies team to claim a series win in England, and was a dominant figure for just over a decade.

Sonny Ramadhin’s death is attributed to natuaral causes, even though his family is yet to issue a statement about his death. He is said to have passed away after a short illness, which is due to old age.
His death was announced by his former club Friarmere CC (where he served as a president).
