Sofia Carson was born in Fort Carson on April 10, 1993. Florida’s Lauderdale the daughter of Colombian-American Laura Char Carson and José F. Daccarett.
Sofia is related to the political family of Colombia through her mother. She graduated from Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami after attending St. Hugh School.

After signing with Broadcast Music, Inc. in 2012, Sofia started working as a singer and songwriter.
Two years later, in 2014, she appeared in an episode of Austin & Ally (2011) and worked on the show Faking It. In the comedic fantasy television film Descendants (2015), she made her feature film debut playing the character “Evie.”
