Six students allegedly gang-rape 15-year-old at Bechem PRESEC

The mother of a 15-year-old Bechem Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC) form one girl who was reportedly gang-raped by six senior-year pupils has pleaded with the police to move quickly with their investigations so that justice can be served.

Three suspects have been apprehended and detained by the Bechem Police in the Tano South Municipality in the Ahafo Region. The remaining three are still evading capture and are the target of a manhunt.

Three suspects have been arrested: Agyem Frimpong, Emmanuel Ankama, and an Osman.

Kyeremaa Hamida, a female final-year student who was also an accomplice and helped the suspects commit the crime, is currently being held by the police and is supporting investigations.

Around 21:30 on Saturday, February 10th, the tragic tragedy occurred.

Complicated Ghana News Agency (GNA) has stated that Hamida allegedly took the unknowing victim (name withheld) to a run-down building close to the girl’s hostel where the suspects gang-raped her.

The report was corroborated by a trustworthy source at the Bechem Police Station, who also mentioned that the accused had not yet been charged in court.

The victim’s mother, Victoria Otu, stated in an interview with the GNA that her daughter’s health had gotten worse and pleaded for justice to be served.

“The school administration called to let me know about the incident, and we must now pursue justice for our child,” the woman said.

The victim’s rape was verified by a medical report from the Duayaw-Nkwanta St. John of God Catholic Hospital that the GNA was able to view.

The woman described her incident to the GNA, saying that as she lay on her bed, the suspect Hamida came over and demanded to “see her outside.”
