The late Sadi Mohammad was a Bangladeshi singer and composer of Rabindra Sangeet.

He lived from 4 October 1957 to 13 March 2024. He was the director of Rabi Raag, a cultural group.

Following the liberation struggle, Sadi Mohammad was accepted into KUET’s Department of Civil Engineering in 1973.

He did not, however, carry on with his studies there. He left after two years. Later, in 1975, he was awarded a scholarship to study music at Santiniketan. Following that, he attended Visva-Bharati University to complete his graduation and post-graduate studies in Rabindra Sangeet. Santidev Ghose and Kanika Banerjee taught him music there.

When Mohammad’s album Amakey Khujey Pabey Bhorer Shishirey was published in 2007, it marked his musical debut. 2009 saw the release of his albums Sharthok Janom and Srabon Akashey.

Mohammed held the position of director for Rabi Raag. Among his nine siblings were dancer Shibli Mohammad and actor Shameem Mohammad. Salimullah, their father, was slain in 1971 during Bangladesh’s Liberation War.

On March 13, 2024, Sadi Mohammad passed away. He was 66 years old. Shibli, his younger brother, claimed that after sneaking into his room where Sadi had been performing music with his tanpura instrument, his hanged body was discovered.

Shibli stated that since their mother, Jebunnessa Salimullah, passed away in July 2023, Sadi had been experiencing emotional stress.

Sadi Mohammad was survived by his wife, siblings and children.
