Simon Cowell has been hired by YMU.
The founder of Syco Entertainment and the British X Factor and Got Talent originator will work in the entertainment area of the international talent agency, which will be led by Group Executive Director Chris Hughes.
Cowell and YMU will collaborate on “all elements of business,” according to YMU, including TV, formats, partnerships, and books.
Mary Bekhait, Group CEO of YMU, stated, “We can’t wait to get started. YMU has invested extensively over the years in our worldwide team of media specialists specifically to attract and assist customers of Simon’s caliber.
Working with a “great team,” according to Cowell, makes him excited.
The change was made shortly after Cowell fired the bulk of his Syco employees in order to concentrate on family.
Due to a broken back sustained in an E-scooter accident a few months earlier, he withdrew from a long-anticipated television comeback on ITV’s Walk the Line in late last year and was replaced by Gary Barlow.
The American versions of the X Factor and Got Talent franchises were introduced by pioneering British founder and host Simon Cowell.
Major British celebrities including Ant and Dec, David Walliams, Davina McCall, and Amanda Holden are all represented by YMU.
