Former Asante Kotoko striker Shilla Alhassan has shown support for fans who recently disrupted the club’s training session due to the team’s poor performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
The frustrated fans stormed the club’s training grounds to prevent head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum and his players from training. This comes after Kotoko suffered seven defeats in their last nine games, leaving the fans unhappy with the team’s performance.
In an interview with Kessben FM, Shilla Alhassan voiced his agreement with the fans’ actions, stating that it is understandable for them to demand better results. He even suggested that coach Ogum should consider resigning if he feels unable to turn things around for the team.
As Kotoko prepares to face log leaders, Samartex, in their upcoming match, the club’s Life Patron, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called for an emergency meeting to address the current struggles.
The meeting, scheduled for Thursday, will involve the playing body and Interim Management Committee in an effort to find solutions to the team’s recent setbacks.
