Ghanaian midfielder Shawkan Mohammed has made a major move to Tunisian top-flight club, Club Africain, in a deal that will see him at the club until the summer of 2027.

The 21-year-old completed a free transfer to Club Africain from Accra Lions in the Ghana Premier League. Despite rumors linking him with a move to Asante Kotoko, Mohammed chose to take on a new challenge in Tunisia after passing his medical. He decided to forego an extended contract with Accra Lions, which included the possibility of a move to Malaysia.

Club Africain, founded in 1920, is a reputable club in Tunisia with 13 Tunisian Ligue 1 titles and a slew of cup victories under their belt. The club boasts a fervent fan base and plays at the historic Hammadi Agrebi Stadium. They have a tradition of signing talented players from various parts of Africa.

Mohammed’s transfer to Club Africain signals a significant advancement in his career as he starts training with his new teammates. He could make his debut for the club in an upcoming match against Ben Guerdane. This move opens up new opportunities for the young midfielder to showcase his skills on a larger stage and further his professional development.
