Shatta Wale, a dancehall musician, has stated that he will only take part in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards program if the organizers take the initiative first.
He asserts that the board has to adopt “a gentler approach” so that negotiations may take place and mutually acceptable arrangements can be reached, enabling him to join the program.
Shatta Wale stated during a discussion on the U Say Wetin show on Hitz FM.
“VGMA is my ex-girlfriend, anytime they want to come back I am here. I feel because they are the ones organizing this and there should be a nice approach.” The ‘On God’ hitmaker detailing the terms told Hitz FM’s Prince Tsegah that, “they should also find someone from the office to come and invite me to come on board and it will be beautiful.”
As you may remember, the VGMA kicked Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy out of the program in 2019 after a fight that ruined the show’s 20th anniversary.
However, the prohibition was repealed in 2021, and Stonebwoy has been a part of the program since 2022. But, Shatta Wale has not yet joined the plan.
