Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has refused to apologize to the Ghana Society of Physically Disabled (GSPD) after making derogatory remarks about Stonebwoy’s disability during the Salah festivities.

The GSPD demanded an apology from Shatta Wale and asked him to retract his statement, but the artiste did not comply in a viral video response.

In the video, Shatta Wale questioned the society’s motive for the demand and expressed his disbelief at their request. He stated, “You can’t create a problem for me, I am a problem myself,” highlighting his strong stance on the matter.

The GSPD had issued a statement cautioning Shatta Wale and demanded that he retract and apologize to all persons with disabilities. They also reminded him that making derogatory remarks about a person’s disability is a punishable offense under the Disability Act 715.

The society condemned Shatta Wale’s behavior, describing his statement as “primitive” and calling on Ghanaians to denounce such irresponsible behavior from a high-profile personality like him. The GSPD emphasized the need for respect and dignity towards persons with disabilities and urged the public to speak out against discrimination.
