Shatta Wale has confirmed that he is behind bars with rival Stonebwoy following report of their arrest in the afternoon of Sunday, May 19, 2019.
The two had a bad night at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Shatta Wale started the whole thing last night: he stormed the stage while Stonebwoy was delivering his acceptance speech for the “Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year” award.
This led to Stonebwoy showing off a firearm on stage – an act which many have condemned.
This evening, Shatta Wale has confirmed that they have both been arrested and are currently behind bars at the Tesano Police Station in Accra.
In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale revealed: “So the 2 of us have been arrested .. it’s nice. You point at gun at me and now I have been arrested too …oh nice. This is what we call Justice Right ? Lock mi and throw away the keys and I will still sing and thank God for everything ..Today me and your artiste all deh sleep inside !! That’s the News !!! [sic].”
He further revealed: “Ade go sleep Tesanor police station …Fans go Live and sing my songs till I come back home .. I am not afraid of the 1000 enemies cuz I trust in the Lord for his safety !!! I love you all [sic].”
