Dancehall King Shatta Wale has broken his silence on why Yaa Pono could not perform at his show in Cape Coast last week although he was booked.
According to Shatta Wale, Yaa Pono was called upon severally by the organisers of the show but failed to show up when his time was due. He indicated that Yaa Pono came around when he Shatta Wale was ready to perform hence he could not perform because he (Shatta Wale) was ready to hit the stage.
“I heard they called him several times to come before I come but he came the moment I arrived so they had to let him know that Shatta has to do his thing. Sometimes that is what boys need to know, it is nothing everybody’s time will come. It is about exhibiting your talent so when you have time and chance to exhibit it you have to do that.”
Shatta Wale who was speaking on Vibes In 5 further indicated that he is not a star yet because he has not bought a private jet adding that he has not get there with the kind of luxury he envisages for himself.
“I always say we are not stars. Me I am not a star yet because I don’t have a private jet. I think to live some luxurious life I have not got there because I am now trying to build a house, buy a house and do some business alongside.”
Shatta Wale mentioned that organisers of the show paid Yaa Pono although he could not perform on the night.
Meanwhile, there seems to be tension brewing between Yaa Pono and Shatta Wale because he was not given the opportunity to perform in Cape Coast although he was booked for the night.
