Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly referred to as Shatta Wale, has defined his burst up with a few law enforcement officials on the National Police headquarters in Accra.

It might be recalled the day before this, a viral video captured Shatta Wale in a heated argument with a few police personnel, shouting at the pinnacle of his voice.

Yesterday, the incident occurred when Shatta Wale visited the Inspector General of Police George Dampare, who asked to engage entertainers within the Ghanaian creative industry for deliberation.

Narrating what happened, Shatta Wale said he took out his mobile phone to record actor Fred Amugi, who he referred to as his mentor.

However, a few police officers advised him mobile phones were not allowed at the event. He thinks it became incorrect and impolite for the police officer to interject because others took pictures of him while he came.

“I saw people taking out their phones, and nobody was talking to them. So I thought, let me take out my phone because Fred Amugi has been one of the greatest actors I really want to be with and do a movie with,” he said in a video sighted by Ghanafuo.com

“So, when he was talking, I felt what he was saying was so important to me that I had to keep it for myself. I took a video and one of the officers and was like phones are not allowed, but people were taking pictures of me as I came, so I felt it was a bit rude.”

Shatta Wale went on to add that an intruder had stolen his 100 bags of cement and some other issues that raised his tempers, a reason for his untoward attitude at the police premises.

“From where I was even coming from, somebody has stolen my 100 bags of cement, and some organisation had gone on before I got here, so the tempers were high,” he said.

Shatta Wale later went on his knees to apologise to the IGP and some other top security heads.
