Former musician Quophi Okyeame has condemned Stonebwoy for pulling a gun during his altercation with Shatta Wale on stage.
Shatta Wale crashed Stonebwoy’s acceptance speech for his “Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year” award at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
The situation escalated quickly, with Stonebwoy’s manager punching Shatta Wale’s team member.
Wale took to his social media pages to cry foul and in support of this, Quophi Okyeame claims he is ‘highly disappointed’ in Stonebwoy.
He said Ghana police should have handcuffed Stonebwoy immediately, adding that the police headquarters should invite him.
Quophi further stated that Shatta Wale is violent by ‘mouth’ but Stonebwoy is violent by ‘weapon’.
His full post reads (unedited): “This is Absurd. Security allowed a gun into the VGMA auditorium? Stoneboy, I am highly disappointed in you. You can never cover your fear with a weapon.
Until Shatta’s intention was known, your gun pulling act for someone known to be cool and collected was very unnecessary. Bringing a gun was premeditated and it’s not cool. I don’t know why Ghana police who were on site did not cuff you in the first place. You deserve an invitation to the police headquarters.
Now I know Shatta is Violent by mouth and Stoneboy is violent by Weapons.
This is my wall, this is my opinion. I reserve all rights. Anyone who insults me rather than expressing your their opinion I believe will only be displaying their ignorance.”
