Sharon Acker was a Canadian actress, model, and stage performer. From 1956 to 1992, she primarily appeared on Canadian and American television. She portrayed Della Street, Perry Mason’s devoted secretary in The New Perry Mason. Her film roles include Lucky Jim, Point Blank, and Don’t Let the Angels Fall.

Sharon Acker was born on April 2, 1935, and tragically passed away on March 16, 2023.

Sharon Acker, the Canadian film, television, and theatre performer best remembered for her roles in Point Blank, The New Perry Mason, and Happy Birthday to Me, has died a natural death at the age of 87. According to reports, Acker died on March 16th at her retirement home in Toronto.

Her cousin, David Glover, recently announced the actor’s death. Glover paid respect to his late cousin on Facebook, writing: “My wife Judy and I were very close with Sharon, and we spoke regularly even after she moved back to Toronto to be close to with daughters and family. I can never forget Sharon’s million-dollar smile. She made everyone she came in contact with feel so much better.”

Acker’s four-decade-long acting career was capped by her participation in John Boorman’s iconic 1967 neo-noir film Point Blank. Lynne, the wife of Lee Marvin’s leading character, Walker, was played by Acker. Lynne betrays her criminal husband in the midst of a stressful plot following a robbery in San Francisco’s Alcatraz.

Later in her career, Acker had her final big screen appearance in the 1981 slasher Happy Birthday to Me. Acker also played Odona in an episode of the first Star Trek series in 1969.
