Shaquille Green Thompson, an American football outside linebacker with the National Football League’s Carolina Panthers, was born on April 21, 1994. At Washington, he played collegiate football.
He also spent a brief time as a member of the Boston Red Sox rookie team in the Gulf Coast League. He has played the “big nickel,” a hybrid safety/linebacker position for the Panthers since being drafted.

In 2021, Thompson (#7) is seen playing the Washington Football Team.
Thompson decided to change his jersey number to #7, his college number, in response to the NFL’s new jersey number regulations.
In order to give the Panthers more cap room, Thompson consented to a contract restructuring in March 2022.
