The most important thing to know about Martin is that he is the caddie of the very famous Irish golfer Shane Lowry. Lowry now has Brian ‘Bo’ Martin in his first full-time job which he started around September 2018. Martin has previously caddied for Gary Murphy and Peter Lawrie. He also worked with Frenchman Alex Levy when he won the brief Portugal Masters in 2014 and turned to Dane Lucas Bjerregaard who also won the same competition in 2017.
Lowry originally had a fellow Irishman, Dermot Byrne, on the bag. Dermot and Lowry had been together for about nine years. The relationship began officially when Lowry won the Irish Open in 2009 as an amateur. However, as his game goes down so did the relationship between them. Their relationship came to an end somewhere in August 2018. Shane’s brother Alan filled in for about two months before Martin entered the full season.
