Patrick Molefe Shai is a filmmaker and actor from South Africa.
He is well recognized for his performances in Soul City, Generations, and Zero Tolerance, all of which aired on television.
He is a founder member of the Free Film Makers of South Africa. He grew up in Dobsonville, Soweto, South Africa.
Until his unfortunate demise, the actor was married to Masechaba Shai. The couple are proud parents of two children.
How Patrick Shai abused his wife Mmasechaba Shai for years
Masechaba, recalling a terrible period in her life, stated that the abuse began when Patrick’s acting journey began off.
“He used to call me nasty names, which left me mentally paralyzed. When Patrick was under the influence of alcohol, he transformed into a monster. I couldn’t believe the man I loved would say such things to me “She stated.
As the abuse became more severe, it soon became physical.
“I braced myself for him every time I heard his car park in the garage in the middle of the night. He’d track me down in the middle of the night and beat me until I was blue”.
Why did Shai abuse his wife Mmasechaba Shai?
Mmsechaba claimed that she believed his abusive behavior began as a result of alcohol. Masechaba went on to say that she kept the abuse hidden for years out of fear.
