Seth Woodbury MacFarlane (born October 26, 1973) is a cartoon and comedic actor, screenwriter, producer, director, and singer from the United States.
He created the television sitcoms Family Guy (1999-present) and The Orville (2017-present), as well as American Dad! (2005-present) and The Cleveland Show (2009–2013).

MacFarlane attended the Rhode Island School of Design to study animation. He was employed by Hanna-Barbera as an animator and writer for television series such as Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Larry & Steve.

As a guest actor, he appeared in Gilmore Girls, The War at Home, Star Trek: Enterprise, and FlashForward.
In 2008, he launched the YouTube series Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy. For his work on Family Guy, he garnered five Primetime Emmy Awards and one Annie Award. In 2009, he was named Film & Video Person of the Year by the Webby Awards.

He received his high school certificate from Kent School in 1991. While there, he continued to play with animation, and his parents got him an 8 mm camera.
