Television personality Serwaa Amihere has finally broken her silence on the leaked intimate video involving her and her alleged ex-boyfriend Henry Fitz that surfaced online a few weeks ago.
The video, which went viral on social media, showed Serwaa and Henry on a bed, caressing and kissing each other. It first appeared on the internet on April 2, 2024.
In a recent tweet on Wednesday, April 24, Serwaa apologized for the “embarrassment, disappointment, and frustration” that the leaked video caused to her family, loved ones, employers, and the brands she represents.
According to her statement, the video was actually filmed five years ago, and she had been threatened and extorted by an individual five months before it was released online.
The TV personality expressed her regret for underestimating the impact of her actions at that time. She acknowledged the support system and people who have inspired and encouraged her throughout her career, stating that they have also been left disappointed.
Serwaa also extended her apologies to the businesses and brands she is associated with for the embarrassment caused to their reputation.
In response to the leaked video, Serwaa has taken legal action against her alleged ex-boyfriend. Three individuals have been charged with non-consensual sharing of intimate images, conspiracy to commit non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and sexual extortion.
