Ghana’s prime dance hall music icon, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale has released his much anticipated album, dubbed the Reign album.
In the early hours of Saturday, 13th October 2018, the album was released on Apple Inc‘s digital music store, iTunes.
Few hours after the album was released for digital patronage, the project is already occupying the summit of Ghana’s iTunes chart for studio albums. The Reign album is also 3rd on both the UK and Germany’s iTunes album chart, 7th in Australia and 73rd on the iTunes chart of top 200 albums (all genres) in the United States.
The Reign album is the controversial dance hall star’s second major project as brand Shatta Wale after he released the After the Storm album in 2016.
The album consists of 17 songs with only one guest artiste, Olamide.
