Christine McVie’s life and legacy led Fleetwood Mac back together to remember her.
McVie’s memorial ceremony was conducted Monday night at Little Beach House Malibu, and it was all about honoring the legendary singer/songwriter and keyboardist’s life and achievements.
Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, and Stevie Nicks, who named Christine her “best friend in the whole world,” were seen outside the ceremony paying their respects and sharing some of their greatest McVie memories.
Christine died in November at the age of 79 after a brief illness, as previously reported.
When she died, the group issued a statement that said, “There are no words to express our grief over Christine McVie’s death. She was absolutely unique, extraordinary, and gifted beyond measure.
She was the best musician anyone could have in their band, as well as the best friend anyone could have. We were really fortunate to share our lives with her.
We treasured Christine greatly, both individually and collectively, and are grateful for the wonderful memories we have. She will be greatly missed.”
