Sean Murphy-Bunting (born June 19, 1997) is a cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. He was a football player at Central Michigan University.
In a 31-24 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 5, Murphy-Bunting recorded his first career interception off Teddy Bridgewater. Murphy-Bunting intercepted fellow rookie Gardner Minshew in the Buccaneers’ end zone in the fourth quarter, preventing a potential touchdown in the Buccaneers’ 28-11 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.
In a 38-17 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 15, Murphy-Bunting made a team-high eight tackles, one pass deflection, and an interception off of fellow rookie David Blough that he returned 70 yards for his first career score.
