American actor, producer, stand-up comic, and former professional boxer Sean Carrigan (born May 16, 1974) is best known for his role as Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn on the popular CBS daytime serial The Young and the Restless. Woodhead Entertainment, a production firm, was co-founded by Carrigan.
Carrigan’s professional boxing career began in 1998 and concluded in 1999. Since then, he has appeared in various films, TV shows, and commercials, as well as performing stand-up comedy around North America. He was hired in May 2013 for a four-episode arc as Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn on the CBS television soap opera The Young and the Restless, with his first episode airing on June 28, 2013. In November 2013, he was awarded a contract after appearing as a recurring character for nearly a year. In addition to the Y&R, Sean has appeared in numerous television productions including Netflix’s “American Vandal”, and “Lucifer”, ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”, and “Modern Family”, The CW Network’s “Hart of Dixie”, and Lifetime’s “Call Me Crazy”, starring opposite Academy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson and directed by Ashley Judd. Sean may also be seen in feature films such as “Ford v Ferrari” by 20th Century Fox, “The Single Moms Club” by Tyler Perry, and “John Carter” by The Walt Disney Company.
