Scottie Scheffler attended Highland Park High School in University Park, a Dallas suburb, and then played collegiate golf at the University of Texas from 2014 to 2018, where he helped the team win three Big 12 titles and was awarded Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year in 2015.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2018. Prior to attending UT, he won the 2013 US Junior Amateur. He was also a member of the United States squad that won the Walker Cup in 2017.
