Michael Owusu Addo, better known by his stage name Sarkodie, is a Tema-born rapper, musician, and businessman from Ghana.

He was born on July 10, 1988. For his contributions to the Ghanaian music scene, he has won numerous awards, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artiste of the Decade.”

He was named the first-ever winner of BET’s Best International Flow Artist category at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards. Along with being one of the most influential performers of Azonto music and dance, he is also acknowledged as one of the finest African rappers of all time.

Every year, Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Concert brings rap fans into the rap scene. The concert this year was a success, as it always is. The support of Sarkodie’s mother and father at his sold-out performance was something special.

We can see Sarkodie’s father and mother all feeling good and proud:

Well-known musicians including 1GAD, Edem, Black Sheriff, and others provided backing for the show.
Love in the industry like this is what we all need.
