Sarkodie, King Promise and Darko Vibes will perform at Africa Fan Zone at Paris Olympics

Sarkodie, King Promise, and Darkovibes are gearing up to showcase their talents at the Africa Fan Zone during the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The French Embassy in Ghana has confirmed their participation in this prestigious event, which will take place on August 10.

The news of Sarkodie’s performance was initially hinted at by DJ Mensah, Sarkodie’s personal Disc Jockey. Although there was some confusion regarding whether Sarkodie would perform at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, DJ Mensah later clarified that Sarkodie’s performance would be part of an event at the Olympics.

Joining Sarkodie on stage will be King Promise and Darko Vibes, who have also been added to the list of performers for the Africa Fan Zone. This was revealed during a press conference held by the French Embassy, where it was announced that the Olympic Games in Paris will feature an African Fan Zone to showcase the talents of Ghanaian artists.

The opening ceremony of the Olympics is set to take place on July 26, 2024, in Paris, France, with the closing ceremony scheduled for August 11, 2024. This year’s opening ceremony will be a unique experience, as it will be held outside of an Olympic Stadium for the first time in history and broadcasted to 80 giant screens in public.

International artists like Celine Dion and Dua Lipa have already been confirmed for the opening ceremony, drawing an estimated six hundred thousand spectators.

With the inclusion of Ghanaian talents like Sarkodie, King Promise, and Darkovibes, the Africa Fan Zone promises to be a highlight of the Paris Olympics, showcasing the diverse musical landscape of the continent.
