Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, has called for the arrest of a man who confessed to engaging in sexual activities with a minor on live radio.
The disturbing video, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the presenter from Sompa FM revealing how he had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl for several years.
The presenter admitted to having multiple sexual encounters with the girl from when she was in primary six until she completed her secondary school education. He even described the girl as “very voluptuous” and expressed remorse for his actions, stating, “Oh Kwame, sinning is not good.”
The confession was made during a discussion on Karma, where the presenter shared how his past actions had come back to haunt him after his own daughter was allegedly taken advantage of by a teacher. His wife pointed out the hypocrisy in his behavior, leading him to acknowledge the consequences of his actions.
The revelation has sparked outrage and condemnation from the public, with many calling for the man to be arrested for his crimes. Actress Lydia Forson expressed her disgust at the presenter’s behavior, highlighting the issue of child abuse and exploitation.
Sarkodie also weighed in on the matter, demanding justice for the young girl and calling for the man to be held accountable for his actions. In a tweet, he stated, “I sense no hate here; he should not be walking around freely.”
The incident has once again brought attention to the prevalence of child sexual abuse in society and the need for stricter measures to protect minors from such predatory behavior. It is essential for authorities to take swift action in this case to ensure that justice is served and to send a strong message that such actions will not be tolerated in Ghana.
