Sarah Rice passed away on Saturday from cancer. She was a key player in the Broadway version of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, playing the endangered Johanna. She was sixty-eight. Her friend and fellow singer Rebecca Caine, who honored Rice’s love of animals, confirmed her passing on Instagram.
