Samuel Benjamin Watkins IV, a wide receiver with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League, was born on June 14, 1993. In the 2014 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills selected him fourth overall after he played college football for Clemson.

He has also suited up for the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, and Los Angeles Rams. As a member of the Chiefs, Watkins won the Super Bowl.

Watkins played football, basketball, and track & field while a student at South Fort Myers High School in Fort Myers, Florida. Throughout his career, he amassed 133 receptions for 2,997 yards and 36 touchdowns, becoming Lee County’s all-time best receiver.

He collected 33 receptions for 537 yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore. He was chosen for the first team of the state in both his junior and senior years. He added 46 catches for 1,192 yards and 14 touchdowns in his junior year.

Watkins had eight seasons of 100-yard receiving games as a senior, with 54 catches for 1,268 yards and 12 touchdowns. He guided South Fort Myers’ unbeaten squad into the 3A state semifinals when they were defeated 44–28.
