Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Sammy Anim Addo, has expressed his confidence in young talent Matthew Anim Cudjoe’s potential to shine when he gets the chance to play for the Black Stars.
Anim Addo believes that the former Asante Kotoko player has what it takes to make a significant impact on the national team once he makes his debut. He stated, “He has said it himself that the day he will play for the Black Stars he will make a big difference and I believe too. Unless God says no, but as far as God is alive Matthew will play for the Black Stars and bring a lot of value to the team. Those qualities the boy has if he is given the opportunity people will marvel.”
The football administrator highlighted the unique qualities that Cudjoe possesses and compared him to prominent players in the national team. He said, “Like I keep telling you just watch the shape of the Black Stars, if we don’t have Mohammed Kudus tell me anyone that you know in Ghana who has those qualities of Matthew Cudjoe?”
After leaving Scottish club Dundee United at the end of the season, Cudjoe is now rumored to be on the verge of securing a lucrative move to a top European club. With high expectations surrounding his future, Ghanaian football fans eagerly await the opportunity to see Cudjoe shine on the international stage.
