Renowned coach, Nurudeen Amadu, has been appointed as the head coach of the Ghana male U18 National Team by the Ghana Football Association (GFA). This announcement was made by the GFA on Monday, April 22.

In a bid to enhance the development of young talents, the GFA recently introduced age category developmental teams, with the U18 male team being one of the key teams in this initiative. These teams are aimed at nurturing young players to eventually join the competitive male and female national teams.

Coach Nurudeen Amadu, who currently leads the Ghana Premier League table toppers FC Samartex 1996, has been selected as the head coach for the U18 side. The GFA’s Executive Council endorsed his appointment, highlighting their confidence in his abilities to mold the young talents.

Assisting Coach Amadu will be Hamza Mohammed Obeng, the head coach of Vision FC, along with former national star James Nanor, who will take on the role of Goalkeepers’ Coach.

With a strong coaching team in place, the U18 team is set to receive top-notch guidance and support as they prepare for upcoming competitions.
