Samantha Smart is a native of League City, Texas, and has a history of singing and dancing. She then pursued full scholarships to study classical music and dance at Louisiana State University.
She started her film and television career after working and pursuing her theater studies in New York and Los Angeles.
Sam is a proud SAG-AFTRA member and is commercially represented by KMR and Harden Curtis Kirsten Riley & Associates. She divides her time between France and New York.

Sam can be seen in three different television shows: Dear White People on Netflix, Tommy on CBS (against Edie Falco), and Katy Keene on HBO Max. Sons of the Prophet, a Tony Award-winning drama by Stephen Karam, which debuted recently, and the Ovation-nominated Space (Los Angeles).
Her future movies include Liberty, directed by acclaimed Belgian director Philippe DeWitte, and The Noel Diary (Netflix), in which she co-stars with Justin Hartley.
Her performance was praised by the critics as “harrowing.” The following production Samantha performed on was “Salome: Da Voodoo Princess of Nawlins,” which was written and directed by the acclaimed writer Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj.

Samantha’s Love for the Theatre was matched with a newfound love of cinema. She lived in Paris, France for a year immersing herself in the culture and language. Samantha landed the lead role in acclaimed playwright Stefan Mark’s award-nominated drama Space.
