Australian actor Samuel Henry John Worthington was born on August 2, 1976. He is best recognized for his roles as Perseus in Clash of the Titans and its sequel Wrath of the Titans, Marcus Wright in Terminator Salvation, and Jake Sully in Avatar.

The Debt (2010), Everest (2015), Hacksaw Ridge (2016), The Shack (2017), Manhunt: Unabomber (2017), and Fractured are among his later dramatic appearances (2019).
In his native Australia, he made television appearances as Howard in the show Love My Way and as Phillip Schuler in the drama miniseries Deadline Gallipoli, for which he also served as executive producer.
In the video games Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010), Call of Duty: Black Ops II (2012), and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, he provided the voice for the lead character, Captain Alex Mason (2018). He portrayed an actual crime victim in the miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven in 2022.
For his leading part in Somersault, Worthington was given Australia’s top cinema honor in 2004
