American football quarterback Samuel Richard Darnold plays for the National Football League’s Carolina Panthers (NFL). On June 5, 1997, Darnold was born in Dana Point, California. When he was five years old, he first picked up a basketball.
He was taken third overall by the New York Jets in the 2018 NFL Draft while playing college football at USC, where he made history as the first freshman to win the Archie Griffin Award.
