Samuel George Claflin is an English actor who was born on June 27, 1986. He began his career in acting in television after graduating from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 2009.
Claflin became more well-known for his roles as Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games films from 2013 to 2015 and as the lead in Me Before You, a romantic comedy. Since then, he has appeared in the movies Adrift (2018) and The Nightingale (2018). Additionally, he has played Oswald Mosley in the television series Peaky Blinders (2019–2022) and Mycroft Holmes in the mystery film Enola Holmes (2020).

Mark Claflin, a finance officer, and Sue Claflin (née Clarke), a teaching assistant, gave birth to Claflin in Ipswich, Suffolk. Benjamin and Daniel, his older brothers, and Joseph, his younger brother, who was born in 1989 and is also an actor, are his siblings. He was raised in Norfolk’s Norwich.
