Sadio Mané has been training with the rest of the squad at Säbener Straße since joining Bayern Munich from Liverpool.
The former Liverpool star has already made an impression with his performances and demeanor on and off the field.
Mané, however, will have to be away for a few days while the team is in the US in order to attend the CAF Awards in Morocco on July 21st. He will attend the awards ceremony in three ways, in addition to showing his overall support for The Confederation of African Football.
The 30-year-old Senegalese was nominated for African Player of the Year, while Senegal was nominated for team of the year, and manager Aliou Cisse was nominated for manager of the year.
The winners of each category will be determined by votes cast by member association captains and coaches, selected journalists, the CAF Technical Study Group, and CAF Legends.
Mané has the edge over former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah for player of the year, as Senegal defeated Egypt in a penalty shootout in the African Cup of Nations final.
Senegal won its first AFCON title, and Mané scored three goals for the Lions of Teranga. He was named (Man of the Match) and one of three forwards in the AFCON Best XI.
