On December 12, 1998, in Montreal, Quebec, Ryan Terk was born.
He is a filmmaker, playwright, producer, and editor. He immediately began working as an editor and video technician for a film distribution company after determining that film school wasn’t for him.
A year later, he started working as a runner for a VFX company and eventually advanced to production coordinator, most recently on Top Gun: Maverick. His first short film, There’s Nothing You Can Do, which recently won Best Canadian Short at the Pendance Film Festival, was written, directed, produced, and edited by him. His entire life, he has been driven by a strong desire to produce his own unique work.
Long before Ryan was a teenager, his mother would always take him and his friend to the movies after school. It’s always felt more like a religious experience than a real house of prayer.
