Ryan Patrick Murphy is an American television writer, director, and producer who was born on November 9, 1965.
Murphy has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, a Tony Award, and six Primetime Emmy Awards out of 36 total nominations.
He inked the biggest television development deal in history with Netflix, earning the moniker “the most powerful guy” in contemporary television. According to Murphy, inclusive storytelling underwent a change that “introduced marginalized characters to the people.”
