Russell Senior is a British musician and the former guitarist and violinist of the band Pulp. Senior was raised in Sheffield, where he was born. He founded the Dada Society (also known as the New Wave Society) while attending Bath University and played the main character in a dramatic rendition of Kafka’s The Trial.
Also, he was in a band called The Bath Bankers and arranged for his Sheffield pals Pulp to perform at the university. Having graduated with a 2.1 in Business Administration, he returned to Sheffield to join Pulp. He was a flying picket during the 1984 miners’ strike, taking part in industrial action such as the Battle of Orgreave.
