Ronnie Spector was an American singer widely known as the famous lead vocalist of the 1960s girl group The Ronettes.
On Wednesday, January 12, she had her last breath. Spector had been battling cancer prior to her demise. She was 78 years old at the time.
A message from Spector’s family was posted on her website, announcing her death.
“After a brief struggle with cancer, our darling earth angel, Ronnie, lovingly left this world today.
Ronnie always had a glint in her eye, a sassy attitude, a wicked sense of humor, and a smile on her face. She was overflowing with love and thanks.”
She was surrounded by her family and in the arms of her husband, Jonathan.
