American football running back Ronnie Keith Ryan Hillman passed away on December 21, 2022.
He played for the Minnesota Vikings, San Diego Chargers, and Dallas Cowboys, after being selected by the Denver Broncos in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
In 2015, Hillman had his most successful season, running for 863 yards and seven touchdowns.
Hillman’s 72-yard touchdown run in week four’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings was the longest of the 2015 NFL season up to that date. With a 12-4 record, the Broncos were awarded the top seed in the AFC.
The Denver Broncos won over the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Divisional Round to proceed to the Super Bowl.
Hillman was a member of the Broncos squad that won Super Bowl 50 on February 7, 2016.

Ronnie was never involved in a car crash, however, in August 2022, Hillman received a kidney cancer diagnosis of renal medullary carcinoma.
As a result of the cancer therapies’ failure, it was revealed that he had pneumonia and liver cancer on December 20, 2022, and that he had entered hospice care.
The next day, he passed away at the age of 31.
