According to his management, Ronan Vibert, a seasoned actor who had a long career in film and television and who collaborated with some of the best filmmakers and performers, passed away last night at the age of 58 following a brief illness.

Prior to being accepted to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, Vibert was raised in South Wales and spent the majority of his childhood in London. He had recently relocated to Florida.

His numerous movies include The Snowman, starring Michael Fassbender; Saving Mr. Banks, starring Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson; Dracula Untold, starring Luke Evans; Shadow of the Vampire, starring John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe; The Cat’s Meow, helmed by Peter Bogdanovich; Tomb Raider 2 with Angelina Jolie; Tristan and Isolde, starring James Franco; and the Academy Award.

Rome for HBO, Poirot for ITV, two seasons of The Borgias for Showtime, and the Emmy-winning Hatfields and McCoys starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton are just a few notable TV appearances.

Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell on the BBC, Penny Dreadful, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles, NCIS LA, and Electric Dreams and Carnival Row by Phillip K. Dick on Amazon Prime are all shows that feature Lord Wellington.
