The PR Officer of Charterhouse, the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), Robert Klah, has responded to concerns raised by musician Sista Afia regarding her exclusion from the nominations for this year’s awards.

Sista Afia has voiced out her frustration, expressing her belief that the TGMA organizers have been deliberately ignoring her since the beginning of her music career. She highlighted her hit song, “Asuoden”, which gained popularity in 2021 but did not receive any nominations.

She took to social media to question if she had offended anyone at the GMAs, to which Robert Klah responded by stating that her exclusion simply means she did not make the cut for nominations.

During an interview with Nana Adwoa Annan, ONUA Entertainment Presenter, Robert Klah emphasized that the selection process is based on merit and those who do not make the cut will not be included in the nominations list.

He reassured Sista Afia that her exclusion is not a reflection of her talent or efforts, and advised her to stay positive as there are years when she will make the cut and others when she might not.
