American blues guitarist and songwriter Robert Leroy Johnson lived from May 8, 1911, through August 16, 1938. His seminal records from 1936 and 1937 have a singing voice, guitar prowess, and songwriting genius that have impacted subsequent generations of performers. Despite having a brief seven-month recording career, he is now regarded as a master of the blues, particularly the Delta blues style, and one of the most significant performers of the 20th century. According to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, he was “the first rock star ever.”

Robert Johnson’s half-sister was named Carrie Thompson. Robert Johnson begins to return to see his sister after nearly being killed by a Rittenhouse operative. Rufus Carlin and Connor Mason observe him as he is walking and learn this. Mason succeeds to persuade Johnson that he knew Thompson and that should Johnson come with them to reconcile with his sister. Mason tells Johnson information about his sister that he knew, such as the fact that she owned a juke joint.
