American daredevil Robert Edward Knievel II was born on May 7, 1962. He was the son of the stuntman Evel Knievel. “Kaptain Robbie Knievel” is another name that he has gone by.
When he was four years old, Knievel began riding motorcycles and jumping his bike. At Madison Square Garden, he and his father made their stage debuts when he was eight years old. When he was 12 years old, he went on tour and participated in the warm-up exercises. Between 1975 to 1976, Knievel attended Central Catholic High School in Butte, Montana, though he never finished his studies there. His father disapproved of him wanting to make his leaps longer.
Knievel made the decision to go it alone at that very moment, with his father’s approval. To commemorate the Elsinore Grand Prix’s return in 1996, Evel Knievel completed a ten-limo jump at the Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium.
At the Chinook Winds Casino in 2003, Evel Knievel jumped 15 Diet Pepsi trucks. At Evel Knievel Days in Butte, Montana, in late July 2006, Knievel successfully executed a triple tribute jump to his father Evel by leaping the Batmobile, four giant flame throwers, and a 1959 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. In the past, Knievel has carried out barge jumps in Butte, Montana, and Jacksonville, Florida.
