Rob Marciano, the well-known weather forecaster on Good Morning America, has been let go from the show as of April 30, 2024. The former ABC meteorologist had been a familiar face on the weekend weather segments for nine years before his sudden departure.
ABC has not provided any comment on the reports of Rob Marciano’s termination. However, insider sources have revealed that his firing comes after a period of suspension from filming at the network’s Manhattan studios due to alleged improper conduct.
In a statement to Page Six on March 23, 2023, an insider stated, “He was found to have done something… that was improper. He made people feel uncomfortable. There were a number of alarming events that occurred during his time there.”
Despite being temporarily pulled off air to address these issues, Rob Marciano was eventually allowed to return to his position on Good Morning America. However, recent developments have led to his dismissal from the show.
Rob Marciano initially joined ABC as GMA’s senior meteorologist on July 18, 2014, taking over the weekend weather segments from Ginger Zee. Prior to his time at ABC, Rob had worked as a host on CNN and Entertainment Tonight.
In addition to his professional challenges, Rob Marciano also went through a personal hardship when his ex-wife, Eryn Marciano, filed for divorce on June 18, 2021. The divorce was finalized by January 2022, and the former couple have two children together, named Madelynn and Mason.
