A thick smoke belows from the Opel Astra vehicle belonging to the Head Pastor of the Glorious Ploma Ministry with three people aboard when it caught fire.
The people were returning from a wedding ceremony where the pastor served as the officiating Minister.
About 2 minutes drive from the Str junction, an eyewithness account indicated that vehicle parked fire without the realization of the occupant of the vehicle.
A thick smoke that suddenly belowed from the engine due their tension but before they could stop the whole vehicle was engulfed in flames.
They however escaped and Hur but could not salvage anything from the vehicle. For nearly an hour, the stranded commuters looked on helplessly as Inferno consumed their property.
Peter Kupo, a Junior Pastor with the Glorious Ploma Ministries who was on board the vehicle spoke to JoyNews.
“We on our way from Soma and then um all of a sudden somebody shouted at his fire under our car and then before we could say Jack um we realised smoke was coming out of the car so the moment we stopped, fire engulfed all the car so we just had to rushed out.
“So we couldn’t picked out anything, everything just got bent. This car um the engine was just changed this week I think the car came back from the fitting shop on Friday so we bought a new engine and then changed it so I will say engine is in shape everything is in shape so um yes anything is possible but um at this point we can’t I don’t know what to attribute it to.”
The cause of the fire has still not been disclosed yet.
